370 HEMI said: There have been several people that have contacted us with the concern about the relatively recent discovery of the 3.6L Pentastar cylinder 2 misfire problem. Apparently, after some research and discussions with internal engineers and ASE certified techs, it has been found that the #2 cylinder causes a misfire due to a machining Well, All I can say is I had (5) five Wranglers with the 3.6L V6. All 2012's had bad heads, 2013 had sand in coolant, and 2014 has issues with oil cooler. Others I know had leaking real seals and cam bearing issues. My 5.7L Ram is without issues and my 6.4L SP is in-transit and hopefully trouble free.

They fixed the "A" head with the "B" head, which was also problematic, and that with the "C" head - which is A-OK. IIRC, a late July 2012 head build date was when the "C" heads

The push button key module is called the WIN (Wireless Ignition Node) and when the push button is pressed to "start" the engine, a CAN BUS message is sent to the PEM (Personal Entry Module) to verify the KEELOQ rolling code ( Challenger Tip:117) for FOBIK verification. For whatever reason, if the FOBIK is a code step ahead or behind the PEM and

Cylinder No. 6 Misfire. 2010 Challenger SRT8 6.1 Hemi, 70,000 miles. We have had the car home with us for 3 months now in Colorado. Ever since we got home, we have had a 6 cylinder misfire consistently, we've had the occasional multiple misfire and the occasional post Catalyst running lean as well. We did the obvious things like changing out

A friend of mine just bought a 2011 Challenger with the 3.6 two weeks ago and just came up recently with a PO302 code which is a misfire. It only has 95,000 miles on it and he put in a set of plugs using what it came with from the factory.Came back today with this same code and did a compression check

Place your hand over the main pump assembly hat and have someone key on the ignition. A foot OFF the brake will insure no engine starting is attempted, which is fine. You are just feeling for the pump to energize for 2 seconds at initial power up. If you don’t feel that, it’s likely bad and needs replacement. 1062 posts · Joined 2015. #1 · Dec 7, 2019. I noticed my water pump making an abnormal noise on my 2016 SRT 392 and found out that failed water pumps are a common issue on these cars. I only have 25,000 miles on the car so that's mildly concerning. Good thing I got an extended warranty. Common Overheating Causes. Low Engine Coolant – If there is not enough coolant to properly cool the engine, it’ll overheat and blow the head gasket. Low engine coolant can be both the cause and a symptom of a blown head gasket. Bad Thermostat – The thermostat’s job is to regulate the flow of coolant in and out of your Challenger’s engine.
Gas Mileage 7/10 – Fuel economy is okay at up to 23 MPG, offering 425 miles of range out of the 18.5 gallon tank. Gas costs are $27 cheaper than average at $221 per month. Value 8/10 – The 2019 Dodge Challenger is less expensive than some other muscle cars with good depreciation rates, making it a great value for shoppers.
